Across cities worldwide — from Switzerland to Canada — people increasingly want neighbourhoods where daily life works within a 10-minute walk: groceries, childcare, healthcare, cafés, green spaces. Simple, accessible, sustainable.
Over the past decade, my research, teaching and science communication at ETH Zürich explored how to make this a reality. This journey led to the creation of Resilientsy, the ETH spin-off I co-founded. Today, we help governments and the real estate industry use spatial data and early, transparent community engagement to turn ideas into neighbourhoods that are widely supported and well-received.
What this enables:
✔️ stronger public support
✔️ fewer objections & faster processes
✔️ neighbourhoods that people genuinely want to live and work in
Whether you’re working on housing, urban transformation, transit-oriented development, or sustainable density — in Canada or anywhere else — let’s connect and explore ways to shape better neighbourhoods together.
