Implementing Parsimonious Land Use through More 10-Minute Neighborhoods: A Spatially Measurable Approach to Sustainable Urban Development
How can we accommodate population growth while preserving land, reducing emissions, and improving housing affordability and quality of life?
In this talk, I’ll present how the concept of 10-Minuten-Nachbarschaften contributes to more parsimonious land use in Switzerland and beyond.
Based on spatial modeling, scientific communication at ETH Zürich, and real-world applications with my ETH spin-off Resilientsy. We’ll explore how compact, walkable neighborhoods support affordable, accessible, and sustainable housing and what’s preventing their wider implementation.
